All variants of the E30 were released with both 45mm and 51mm strut housings, with no strict rules as to which models came out with which. Unfortunately we’re unable to determine which struts your E30 has from your VIN. We strongly advise all customers to measure the diameter of the strut before ordering. A simple way of finding out whether you have 45mm or 51mm suspension on your E30 is by placing a piece of string around the strut tube and then measuring the string.
